Kyoto's Uiro(京都のういろう)

京都の五条通りにある五建外良(ういろ)屋を訪れました。京都のういろうの名店です。
I went to Gokenuiroya,a famous urio store in Kyoto City,Japan.

五建外良屋は安政2年(西暦1855年)創業の老舗の名店です。このお店で製造されるういろうは他の地方のういろうと区別するために、ういろ(外良)と呼ばれています。
Gokenuiroya was traditional store and it started in 1855.

こちらが定番の生外良8種類です。いずれもとても甘くて美味しかったです。
This is eight types of uiro of this store.These are very sweet and delicious.

Maeda Coffee and Harema's Chirimenzansho(前田珈琲とはれまのちりめん山椒)

京都 高台寺の近くにある「前田珈琲」に来ました。
I came to "Maeda Coffee",a cafe near Kodai-Ji Temple in Kyoto City,Japan.

このお店の名物の「ねねブレンド」です。
深みがあって美味しいです。
I drunk this cafe's coffee,"Nene Blend"("Nene" is name of Hideyoshi Toyotomi's wife).

前田珈琲では京都名物はれまのちりめん山椒も販売しています。
ちりめんと山椒がとてもあっていて、ご飯にかけて食べると美味しいです。
京都土産にぴったりの品です。
Maeda Cofee sales Harema's Chirimenzansho(dried baby sardines with chinese pepper),a famous food of Kyoto.
I ate it over boiled rice and it is delicious.
It is fit for souvenior of Kyoto.

Red Seabream Restaurant in Kyoto(京都の鯛めし店)

京都 高台寺を訪れた後は、高台寺のすぐ近くにある鯛めし料理店「汐鯛めし だい黒」に行きました。
I went to "Shiotaimeshi Daikoku",a famous red seabream restaurant near Kodai-Ji temple in Kyoto,Japan after going to Kodai-Ji temple.

こちらが名物の「鯛茶漬け」です。
This is "Tai-Chazuke(a dish made of rice,res seabream and tea)".

天然の真鯛はあっさりした中に、少し甘みがあって美味しいです。
Naturally red seabream is plainly and a little sweet.

Kodai-Ji Temple(高台寺)

京都の高台寺に来ました。
豊臣秀吉の正室である高台院(北政所：おね)が秀吉の冥福を祈る為に、慶長11年(西暦1606年)に開創した寺院です。
I went to Kodai-Ji Temple in Kyoto City,Japan.
Kodai-Ji Temple is Zen temple and it was made by Kodai-in(Kita no Mandokoro:One,Nene),a wife of Hideyoshi Toyotomi,in 1606.

高台寺は桃山文化の影響を色濃く残す禅寺で、壮麗な建物や庭園、千利休意匠の茶室があります。
Kodai-Ji Temple has beautiful buildings and gardens,and tea house designed by Sen no Rikyu, and they have the effect of Momoyama culture(Hideyoshi age's culture).

 開山堂の近くの書院には有名な「百鬼夜行」の絵が展示されています。
  There are some famous pictures of "Hyakki-Yagyo" in Shoin(drawing room) near Kaizan-do.

・霊屋
   Otamaya

   豊臣秀吉と高台院を祀っています。
   Otamaya deifies Hideyoshi Toyotomi and Kodai-in.

・傘亭と時雨亭
   Kasa-Tei and Shigre-Tei

   両方とも千利休の意匠による茶室で伏見から移築されたものです。
   Both of them were designed by Sen no rikyu and they were moved from Fushimi,Kyoto City.

    お抹茶とお菓子が頂けます。
    It is a Japanese classic cafe and we can drink green tea and eat Japanese sweets.

最近、高台寺の近くにはお洒落なカフェ「スロージェットコーヒー高台寺」ができました。帰りにここでゆっくりするのもいいですよ。
Recently,stylish cafe "Slow Jet Coffee Kodai-Ji" were opened near Kodai-Ji Temple.It is nice to drink coffee after seeing Kodai-Ji Temple.

高台寺からの清水(八坂の塔)方面を望んだところです。
It is the view of Kiyomizu and Yasaka no To from Kodai-Ji Temple.

Boiled Tofu Restaurant in Kiyomizu(清水の湯豆腐店)

三年坂にある湯豆腐店「奥丹 清水」です。

南禅寺のそばにある「奥丹」の姉妹店です。

I went to Okutan Kiyomizu,a boiled tofu restaurant along Sannen-Zaka Slope.

It is the sister restaurant of Okutan near Nanzen-Ji Temple.

このお店では昔ながらの製法で作った「昔どうふ」の湯豆腐セットが頂けます。

We can eat boiled Mukashi-Dofu(Tofu made by ancient product method) set at this restaurant.

湯豆腐の他、田楽豆腐、胡麻豆腐、精進天ぷらが提供されます。

It serves dengaku dofu,goma dofu and Vegetable tempura.

お店の雰囲気もすごくいいですよ。

The inside of this restaurant has nice atmosphere.

Kiyomizu Sannenzaka Museum(清水三年坂美術館)

清水寺に行った後は三年坂(産寧坂)にある「清水三年坂美術館」に立ち寄りました。
I came to Kiyomizu Sannenzaka Museum along Sannen-Zaka Slope after going to Kiyomizu-Dera Temple.

清水三年坂美術館には幕末から明治にかけて作成された美術品が収蔵されています。
納められている美術品には金工、七宝、蒔絵、根付といったものがあります。
Kiyomizu Sannenzaka Museum has art works of the late Edo Period to Meiji Period.
Type of art works are metalwork,cloisonne,makie and netsuke etc.

私的には安藤緑山の「牙彫 竹の子、梅」(牙彫)、森田藻己の「竹の中の大工根付」(根付)、並河靖之の「蝶に竹花図四方花瓶」(七宝)、濤川惣助の「藤図花瓶」(七宝)などが良かったですね。
この美術館の作品は全て細部まで作り込まれているので驚きます。
I like Rokuzan Ando's carving in ivory,Souko Morita's netsuke,Yasuyuki Namikawa's cloisonne and Sousuke Namikawa's cloisonne.
All of this museum's art works are elegant.

Ninen-Zaka,Sannen-Zaka and Yasaka Pagoda(二年坂,三年坂,八坂の塔)

さあ清水寺から東大路通の方へ下っていきます。
I walked down from Kiyomizu-Dera Temple to Higashioji-dori Street.

まず通るのは「三年坂(産寧坂)」。
There is Sannen-Zaka Slope near Kiyomizu-Dera Temple.

そして三年坂から高台寺の方へ抜ける「二年坂(二寧坂)」。
And there is Ninen-Zaka Slope that links Sannen-Zala Slope and Kodai-Ji Temple.

どちらも風情のあるお店が並んでいて、歩くのがとても楽しくなる通りです。
There are many Japanese style shops in Sannen-Zaka Slope and Ninen-Zaka Slope.

そして清水寺とならぶ清水の象徴、法観寺の八坂の塔。
This is five storied pagoda of Houkan-Ji Temple called "Yasaka Pagoda".

現在の八坂の塔は永享2年(西暦1440年)に室町幕府6代将軍 足利義教により再建されたもので、元々は西暦592年に聖徳太子によって建てられたとも伝えられています。
Present Yasaka Pagoda was rebuild by Yoshinori Ashikaga,6th shogun of Ashikaga shogunate, in 1440 and it is said that the first pagoda was build by Prince Shotoku in 592.
