New Lifestyle Cafe: Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships 2016

昨日(10/7)は東京の有明コロシアム・有明テニスの森で行われている楽天ジャパンオープンテニスに行ってきました。
I went to Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships 2016 held in Ariake Coliseum and Ariake Tennis Forest Park in Tokyo,Japan on October 7,2016.

昨日は男子シングルスの準決勝が行われました。
高校野球もベスト8が一番面白いと言われますが、テニスも同じで、強豪同士が顔を合わせるようになるので試合のレベルが一気に上がります。
錦織圭は残念ながら怪我で棄権となりましたが、面白い試合がいっぱいでした。
It held Men's Singles Quarterfinal on October 7,2016.
Quarterfinal is very interesting, because strong players compete each other from quarterfinal.
Kei Nishikori withdrew due to a injury, but there were many nice games.

こちらが会場の有明コロシアムです。
This is Ariake Coliseum.

こちらの広場では毎年多くのショップが出店しています。
This park has a lot of shops every year.

有明コロシアムの周りには屋台もたくさん出ています。スターバックスもあります。
There are many street stalls around Ariake Coliseum including Starbucks.

今回の昼食は利休の牛タン弁当にしました。
とても美味しかったです。
I ate Ox tongue lunch of Rikyu this day.
It was very delicious.

こちらはこの日、大会スポンサーのEmiratesから配られていた帽子です。私も含め多くの人が被っていました。
This is a hat which is distributed by Emirates which is a sponsor of Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships.
I and many people covered it.

試合の合間に大会を盛り上げるのはご存知、松岡修造さんです。はい、先ほどの帽子もかぶってますね。
Shuzo Matsuoka made emotion in the interval between games.And he covered that hat too.

シングルス準々決勝の第一試合はジョアン・ソウザ(ポルトガル)とダビド・ゴフィン(ベルギー)の組み合わせ。
Joan Sousa(POR) met David Goffin(BEL) in Men's singles quarterfinal first game.

激しいストロークの打ち合いとなりましたが、ゴフィンが逆転で勝利を収めました。
Both of Sousa and Goffin had hard stroke, and Goffin turned the table and finally won against Sousa.

第二試合はマリン・チリッチ(クロアチア)とファン・モナコ(アルゼンチン)との対戦。
Marin Cillic(CRO) met Juan Monaco(ARG) in Men's singles quarterfinal second game.

こちらもストロークの激しい打ち合いとなりましたが、第二セットから一気にギアを上げたチリッチが勝利しました。チリッチはサービスだけでなくストロークも強力な所を見せてくれました。
Both Cillic and Monaco had hard stroke too, and Clillic powered past Monaco.Cillic has not only big service, but hard stroke.

第三試合はニック・キリオス(オーストラリア)とジレ・ミュラー(ルクセンブルク)との対戦。
Nick Kyrgios(AUS) met Gilles Muller(LUX) in Men's singles quarterfinal third game.

ビックサービスで終始主導権を握ったキリオスが勝利しました。
試合中にはループボールを打たれたミュラーが股抜きショットで返球すると、それをキリオスが股抜きショットで返す(見送ればバックアウトになるボールでしたがそれを敢えて返していました)というシーンがあり大変盛り上がりました。
Kyrgios served well and cruised past Muller.
In this game, Muller hit through the legs passing shot against Kyrgios's loop ball, and Kyrgios return it by hitting through the legs passing shot too.

第四試合はガエル・モンフィス(フランス)とイボ・カルロビッチ(クロアチア)の対戦。
Gael Monfils(FRA) met Ivo Karlovic(CRO) in Men's singles quarterfinal fourth game.

予想通り両者一歩も譲らず、2セットともタイブレークに突入。
タイブレークで身体能力の高さを生かしてミニブレークを取ったモンフィスが勝利しました。しかしカルロビッチはビックサービスだけでなく、ストロークも結構強くなっていましたね。
Our expectation had come true, and first set and second set are determined by tie break. In tie break, Monfils got mini-break by his hight physical ability and finished strongly to down Karlovic.But I watched that Karlovic had not only big serivce, but hard storke.
