TIMES CAFE

本日は東京神楽坂にオープンしたTIMES CAFEについてご紹介します。
I introduce TIMES CAFE,a cafe of Kagurazaka,Tokyo.

最近、Starbucks等のCafeではWifiを備えているのが当たり前になってきています。
このTIMES CAFEもWifiを備えていますが、他のCafeとは異なり、飲み物は無料で、滞在時間に応じて料金を取る制度になっています。
料金は30分390円で、その後は10分おきに100円が加算されるようになっています。
Recently some cafes have wifi like Starbucks.TIMES CAFE has wifi too but this cafe calucates charge in accordance with stay time and this cafe's drink is free.This cafe's fee is 390 yen per 30 minutes and it add 100 yen with 10 minutes intervals after 30 minutes.

店内にはドリンクバーの他、iPadを備えた机や、雑誌、マッサージチェアがあります。
ドリンクバーはジョナサン等のファミリーレストランに似た品揃えです。
In this cafe,there are drink bar,iPad,books and massaging chair.

こういう形態のCafeは、ノマドワーカー等のCafeで仕事をする人にはぴったりですね。
これからは徐々にこういう形態のCafeが広がっていくかもしれません。
This cafe is adequate for business man who works at cafe.
I think this cafe will increase by gradation.

Kagurazaka Festival 2015

さて東京は今週梅雨明けしましたが、東京神楽坂では「神楽坂まつり」が開催されています。
The end of the rainy season comes in Tokyo this week and Kagurazaka Festival is held at Kagrazaka,Tokyo.

名物の「ほおづき」です。
ほおづきは1個1500円で販売されています。
It's Physails alkenkegi,a symbol of Kagrazaka Festival.
Physails alkenkegis are sold at 1500 yen.

屋台も出ています。
There are some street stalls.

神楽坂まつりのクライマックスは金曜日、土曜日に開催される「阿波踊り大会」です。
The climax of Kagurazaka Festival is Awa Dance Festival.It's held at Friday and Saturday.

阿波踊り大会は明日7月25日まで開催されます。
すごく楽しいのでぜひお越し下さい。
Awa Dance Festival is held until July 25th,2015.
Please come to see Awa Dance Festival because it's very fun.

フェルメール 光の王国

今回は最近読んだ「フェルメール 光の王国(翼の王国books) 」のご紹介です。



著者の福岡伸一氏は美術関係者ではなく生物学者ということで、この本ではフェルメールの絵画そのものを掘り下げるだけではなく、飾られている美術館 - オランダ(フランクフルト、アムステルダム、ライデン、ハーグ、デルフト)、アメリカ(ワシントンDC、ニューヨーク)、フランス(パリ、ブルーム・ラ・レーヌ）、イギリス(ロンドン、エディンバラ）、アイルランド、ドイツ(ドレスデン、ベルリン、ブラウンシュバイク）、オーストリア(ウィーン）や、その街の風景にも言及されていて、まるで実際に現地の美術館にフェルメールの絵画を見に行った気分にさせてくれます。
絵画と街の関係から鋭い推理が飛び出し、例えばアメリカ編では、かつてこの地で活躍した野口英世がフェルメールの絵画を見たのではないかとの指摘をしており、思わず成程と、首肯いてしまいます。
冒頭と末尾で強調されている「天文学者」(2015年来日)、「地理学者」のモデルが、フェルメールの同世代の科学者レーウェンフックではないかとの推理は、確かにその通りと思わせるものがあります。
フェルメール好きには外せない一冊です。

Yasaka Jinjya Shrine(八坂神社) [Kyoto in the early summer Part 5]

祇園祭真っ最中の八坂神社に到着しました。
I arrived at Yasaka Jinjya Shrine holding the Gion Festival.

屋台も出ています。
There were some street stalls in Ysaka Jinjya Shrine.

前厄でもありますし、とりあえずお参りです。
It is the main hall of Yasaka Jinjya Shrine.

屋台で売っていた京都名物の「京はしまき」です。
クレープのような生地にお好み焼きの味付けをしています。美味しいですよ。
I bought Kyo-Hashimaki,a famous food of Kyoto at street stall.It's crape with okonomiyaki source.It's delicious.

八坂神社から見た四条通りのにぎわいです。
It's Shijyo-Dori Street from Yasaka Jinjya Shrine.

四条通りのそばにある祇園花見小路です。風情のある建物が並んでいます。
It's Gion Hanami Koji Street near Yasaka Jinjya Shrine.There are tastefully house.

そして鴨川、四条大橋へ。京都の夏の風物詩「納涼床」の準備中です。
It's Shijyo-Ohashi Bridge at Kamogawa River.Many restaurants among Kamogawa River lay out the Noryo Yuka(the breeze-enjoying floors) during the summer.

Konchi-In temple(金地院) [Kyoto in the early summer Part 4]

南禅寺境内にある金地院です。
武家諸法度、禁中並公家諸法度等の草案を作成したと言われる以心崇伝が再建した寺院で、徳川家にまつわる宝物が数多くあります。
まずは東照宮です。徳川家康の遺髪と念持仏を祀っています。
This pic is Toshogu shrine in Konchi-In temple.
This shrine was built by Ishin Suden in accordance with the will of the Shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa.

徳川家光の為に作ったとされる「鶴亀の庭」。
小堀遠州作と確定している枯山水の庭園です。
This pic is The Crane and Turtle Garden built by Enshu Kobori.

東照宮に向かう途中に咲いていた紫陽花です。
The hydrangea bloomed near Toshogu Shrine.

金地院の庭も自然が多く落ち着きます。
Konchi-In temple's gardens have a lot of plants.

特別拝観を申し込むと、長谷川等伯の障壁画「猿猴捉月図(えんこうそくげつず)」、「老松」や、小堀遠州が作成した茶室「八窓席」を見ることができます。
If you pay extra charge and you can see "Monkey Reaching for the moon and Old Pine",sliding door panels painted by Tohaku Hasegawa and "Eight Window Tea room" build by Enshu Kobori.These are very valuable things.

Boiled Tofu of Nanzen-ji temple(南禅寺の湯豆腐) [Kyoto in the early summer Part 3]

京都名物の湯豆腐は南禅寺の精進料理が起源と言われています。
今回は南禅寺のそばにある「奥丹」で湯豆腐のフルコースを頂きました。
It is believed that boiled tofu,a famous food of Kyoto, originated from Shojin dish(vegetable dish) on the approach to Nanzen-ji temple.
I ate boiled tofu at Okutan near Nanzen-ji temple.

湯豆腐のフルコース(Full course of boiled tofu)
1.ごま豆腐(Goma-dofu)

2.田楽豆腐(Dengaku-dofu)

3.湯豆腐(Boiled tofu)

4.精進天ぷら、ごはん、漬け物(Vegetable tempura,rice and pickles)

あっさりしていますが、絶品です。
These are light taste and very delicious.

Nanzen-ji temple(南禅寺) [Kyoto in the early summer Part 2]

さて京都東山にある南禅寺です。
I arrived at Nanzen-ji temple in Higashiyama,Kyoto,Japan.

有名な南禅寺の三門です。
It is Sanmon(Main Gate),a famous building of Nanzenji-temple.

三門から見た京都市街。「絶景かな、絶景かな」(by 石川五右衛門)
It is the view from Sanmon. I can see Kyoto city.

こちらは南禅寺境内。
It is the precincts of Nanzen-ji temple.

国宝の方丈の庭園です。
小堀遠州作と伝わる江戸時代を代表する枯山水の庭園です。
It's Nanzen-ji temple's Hojyo(National tea sure)'s garden,made by Kobori Enshu in the first period of Edo.

方丈の建物内には狩野元信、狩野永徳、狩野探幽の襖絵(再現)が飾られています。
The pictures of the sliding doors of Hojyo were painted by Motonobu Kano,Eitoko Kano and Tanyu Kano.

明治になって琵琶湖の水を京都にひくために作られた、琵琶湖疎水の水路閣です。
This canal,called "Sosui",is a waterway constructed between Lake Biwa and Kyoto city.

疎水を上側からみるとこうなっています。
This is the top of "Sosui".

南禅寺周辺は京都のお寺の中でも特に緑が多くておすすめです。
I recommend Nanzen-ji temple if you want to go to Kyoto ,because there are a lot of plants around Nanzen-ji temple.

Tetsugaku-no-michi(哲学の道) [Kyoto in the early summer Part 1]

梅雨の晴れ間が広がった京都の東山付近を散策しました。
哲学の道を銀閣寺方面から南禅寺方面に向けて歩きます。
I went to Higashiyama,Kyoto.Kyoto was a fine day in the rainy season.
I walked along Tetsugaku-no-michi(Philosopher's walk) from Ginkaku-ji temple to Nanzen-ji temple.

銀閣寺から南禅寺までおよそ30分。
朝から思索にふけるにはぴったりです。
It was thirty minutes from Ginkaku-ji temple to Nanzenji-temple.
I was in a deep study in the early morning.

川の水はとてもきれいで、ところどころに魚もいます。
River's water is very clear and fish are found in it.

道の途中には喫茶店や甘味処があります。
ちょっと休憩するのもいいです。
There are some cafe on the way.
It is good to take a short rest.
