Good-bye iPhone

先日、長年使っていたiPhone 4Sが遂に壊れてしまいました。
そこでiPhone 5SもしくはiPhone 5Cに乗り換えることも検討したのですが、この機会にiPod touchにIP電話アプリを入れてiPhone化してみることにしました。
My iPhone 4S was broken the other day.I planed to buy iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C but I decided to install VoIP application to iPod touch and I use it like iPhone.

まずiPhone向けのアプリを提供している電話サービスと契約します。
今回はNTTコミュニケーションズが提供している050IP電話「050Plus」を選びました。
留守番電話サービスもあるので便利です。
I choiced "050Plus",a Japanese VoIP service provided by NTT Communications,Inc.I think "050Plus" is serviceable because it has answering machine service.

早速「050Plus」のWEBサイトにアクセスして、契約を行いました。
契約は10分程度で完了し、050IP電話の電話番号ももらえました。
I accessed "050Plus"'s website and contracted it in about ten minutes and got my VoIP telephone number.

契約が完了したらiTunes Storeで「050Plus」のアプリケーション(無料)をダウンロードします。
After contracting I accessed iTunes Store and downloaded "050Plus"'s free application.

 iPod touchにインストールするとこんな感じになります。
And I installed "050Plus"'s application to iPod touch. The photo below is iPod touch installed "050Plus"'s application.

インストール直後に初期設定を行い、取得した電話番号を設定します。
留守番電話の設定もここで行います。
After installing "050Plus"'s application I sat the initial value,telephone number and the setting of answering machine service etc.

設定が完了すれば、すぐに使える様になります。
「050Plus」を立ち上げた時の画面は以下のような感じになります。
iPhoneと同じ感覚で使えます。
After setting I could use "050Plus"'s application.

iPhoneをiPod touch + 電話アプリに変更する一番のメリットは金銭負担の軽減です。
「050Plus」の場合は毎月の基本料は¥300(税抜)になります。
これにインターネットに接続するために必要となるE-MobileやWiMAXの無線LANルーターの使用料を加算しても¥4,000弱ぐらいですから、携帯電話の基本使用料より大幅に安くなります。これとは別途、通話代が必要になりますが、相手が050IP電話の場合は無料で、相手が固定電話、携帯電話の場合も通常の携帯電話より安くなります。
The advantage of iPod touch plus VoIP application is the reduction of payment amount.
iPod touch and VoIP application need Wi-Fi router,but the payment of VoIP and Wi-Fi router are much less than the payment of a mobile phone.

デメリットしては以下の様なことが挙げられます。
・無線LANルーターのサービスエリアが携帯よりも狭いので、通話できない地域がある
・無線LANルーターのバッテリーの持ちが短く、頻繁に使用すると1日持たないことが多い
その為、頻繁に電話をする人にはまだ向いていないように思います。
The disadvantages of iPod touch plus VoIP application are below.
1.The service area of Wi-Fi is narrower than the service area of mobile phone in Japan.
2.The battery of Wi-Fi router doesn't has very long life and the battery may be dead within one day.
I don't recommend iPod touch plus VoIP application to people that use telephone frequently now.

さて数日試してみましたが、音声ははっきりと聞き取れて不便な点は今のところありません。
ちなみにiPod touchはiPhoneと異なり下側にスピーカーとマイクが付いていますので、写真の様に横向きにして使用すると良いでしょう。
I'm using "050Plus" in iPod touch for a few days and I'm satisfied it because it's voice is clear.
I recommend the position of iPod touch is sideway when we use VoIP application because iPod touch's speaker and mike are it it's bottom.
